Role Overview
The Finance Executive will support Singapore-based sites with a broad range of finance and reporting responsibilities. This role works closely with Site Managers, the Operations team, the Country Operation & Finance teams, and client stakeholders to keep finance processes accurate, timely, and well coordinated.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Site Managers with routine finance-related activities.
- Provide backup support for raising client purchase orders and help ensure all purchase orders are ready before work starts.
- Track expenses incurred by Sodexo and make sure vendor payments are processed on time.
- Prepare monthly revenue, cost, and profit reporting, including basic analysis.
- Support timely client billing and payment collection, and escalate any collection issues when needed.
- Help with budgeting activities, quarterly forecasts, and planning exercises.
- Coordinate as needed with the client’s team on finance and operational matters.
- Support accurate and prompt invoicing to reduce unbilled revenue as much as possible.
- Assist the Country Operation & Finance teams with quarterly and year-end invoice reconciliations.
- Ensure finance reporting submitted to the client is accurate and delivered on time.
- Help Site Managers prepare external reporting for the client.
- Monitor the client’s spending on a day-to-day basis.
- Support the Client Site Lead during the bi-annual budget exercise.
- Coordinate other standard reporting packs with the client’s team.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate holds a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and has 1–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations. They should understand the basics of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation, and be comfortable supporting monthly close activities, reporting, and documentation.
Skills and Abilities
This position requires strong analytical thinking, sound problem-solving ability, and careful attention to detail. Good communication and coordination skills are important for working with internal teams and finance stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools is expected, along with the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment. A willingness to learn and contribute to the APAC finance team is also important.
