Green Infrastructure Partners is seeking an Estimator in Hamilton, Ontario. Reporting to the Regional Director for Hamilton, this role is responsible for building detailed project cost estimates across the full scope of work, including labour, equipment, raw materials, purchased equipment, and subcontracted work. Estimating and tendering

  • Review tender drawings and specifications carefully and translate them into accurate estimates.

  • Manage tender closeout activities, including tender reviews and analysis of sub-proposals.

  • Follow up with customers regarding submitted tenders and proposals.

Cost analysis and project support

  • Price scope changes, additional cost items, and claims-related situations.

  • Create the initial project schedule for transfer to field staff.

Collaboration, process improvement, and leadership

  • Work closely with field teams and clients to support project needs.
  • Help maintain estimating department policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

  • A university degree in Civil Engineering or a college diploma in Civil Technology is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience with a commercial bidding platform is required, with InEight Estimate preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project documents.
  • Experience with MTO contracts and/or municipal works.
  • Strong working knowledge of OPSS and CDED.
  • Solid computer skills, including the ability to use an estimating package; MS Office skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams are an advantage.
  • A results-oriented mindset and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and a focus on continuous improvement.
