About the role
Ryanair Labs is the technology and digital innovation arm of Ryanair, designed as a fast-moving startup operating within a larger company. The team is building travel technology that supports a better customer experience across Europe. More than 200 IT specialists are contributing to 30+ initiatives across the Dublin, Madrid, Wroclaw, and Portugal labs, and the organisation is continuing to expand its technical workforce.
The Infrastructure team is hiring a Desktop Administrator to join the IT Service Manager reporting line. This is a permanent position based in the Airside Building in Dublin, Ireland. The role supports the company’s desktop estate and wider end-user technology environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day upkeep and long-range planning of the desktop environment.
- Track desktop infrastructure performance and recommend improvements that raise efficiency.
- Review desktop applications and software patches to determine whether they can resolve existing issues.
- Handle Office 365 configuration for end users and clients.
- Prepare and deploy hardware images.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of Active Directory.
- Troubleshoot end-user issues by identifying whether the problem lies with the user, PC, network, or application.
- Manage the ticket queue, keep updates current, and work toward resolving incidents within agreed SLA targets.
- Install and troubleshoot network printers.
- Administer SCCM.
- Support ManageEngine ADSS.
- Provide assistance with mobile devices including iPad, iPhone, and Android hardware.
- Track and manage inventory across the full asset management lifecycle.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on desktop support experience in a busy IT setting.
- Practical SCCM experience, including peer caching setup and deployment of patches and updates across a network using best practices.
- ManageEngine ADSS experience is an advantage.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve PC issues both remotely and on site.
- Strong technical troubleshooting ability for computer hardware.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Citrix, printing systems, Symantec Antivirus, VPN, and SCCM.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
