Role overview

To join the team as soon as possible, the company is looking for a Controller (m/f/d) who wants to contribute ideas, help shape the future of an innovative family business, and work in a forward-looking, inspiring environment in Gaggenau.

Your tasks

• Further develop production, sales, and financial controlling to improve transparency around costs, performance, and profit development.
• Support the preparation of consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as group reporting.
• Create and explain management reports for the German parent company and the overseas subsidiaries.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the BI architecture and ERP system by bringing in requirements from controlling, reporting, and operational processes.
• Carry out budget-versus-actual checks, variance analyses, and ad hoc evaluations, and translate the findings into clear action recommendations.
• Take ownership of cross-functional topics that are not yet fully structured, such as inventory management, data quality, or project controlling, and drive them from analysis through to implementation.
• Bring order to complex, less clearly defined topics by mapping processes, clarifying responsibilities, and driving practical execution through to a reliable outcome.

What the employer is looking for

• Completed training, ideally with a relevant university degree or similar academic background.
• Hands-on experience in controlling and/or accounting.
• Knowledge of building or expanding BI systems, with SQL experience preferred.
• Good command of German and English.
• Strong analytical thinking, IT affinity, and quick comprehension.
• Team-oriented mindset, willingness to cooperate, and a curious, detail-driven working style.
• Exposure to consolidation, production controlling, or transfer pricing documentation would be an advantage.
• Experience with Lucanet and Power BI is a plus.
• Confident use of MS Office, especially Excel, as well as experience with ERP systems.
• Ability to think in numerical relationships, combined with initiative and strong commitment.
