About the Role
This opportunity sits within Zest, Sainsbury’s in-house creative studio, supporting a major UK retailer known for operating at scale across supermarket and digital channels. The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in London, with two days required onsite. You’ll be working in a fast-moving marketing environment where social content, creative experimentation, and collaboration across brand, digital, and insight teams are central to the work.
Why This Role Could Be a Great Fit
You’ll join a collaborative and energetic team where fresh ideas are encouraged and where content is built quickly for social-first channels. The role offers the chance to shape platform-native creative for a well-known food brand, turning recipes, trends, and timely ideas into content that feels native to Instagram and TikTok. The environment values curiosity, craft, and continuous development, with support to help you grow your skills while delivering work that strengthens brand presence.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Content Creator, your main focus will be producing standout social content that feels tailored to each platform and connects with the intended audience. You’ll attend briefings, spot creative angles, build storyboards and shot lists, and work closely with internal teams to turn ideas into finished assets quickly. A key part of the job is shooting and editing social-first content on an iPhone, ensuring the output reflects Sainsbury’s tone of voice and performs well across priority channels, especially Instagram and TikTok. You’ll also keep an eye on cultural, social, and technology trends and use those insights to shape concepts that are timely, relevant, and high-impact.
What the Team Is Looking For
The ideal person is a proactive, curious, and collaborative creator who enjoys working at pace and bringing ideas to life in a practical, hands-on way. You should have direct experience making short-form social content for major platforms, with a strong emphasis on Instagram and TikTok. A portfolio is expected to show your ability to capture content on iPhone, work in a lo-fi style when needed, and edit short-form videos effectively. You’ll also need experience preparing creative support materials such as reference packs, treatment documents, storyboards, and shot lists. Familiarity with iPhone shooting workflows, CapCut, and other social editing tools is important for this role.
