Role overview
Inizio Engage works in long-term partnership with a major biotechnology company across commercial, patient solutions, and medical affairs functions. The organization is hiring a Clinical Educator to support healthcare professionals and office teams in primary care and specialist settings with education focused on a designated disease state. The role centers on delivering approved educational content in line with program requirements, compliance expectations, and direction from both company leadership and the client.
What you will do
- Deliver detailed education on the disease state and associated management approaches to healthcare providers.
- Build and maintain strong connections with important customers and stakeholders by using approved learning materials.
- Work strictly within legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements in every discussion, activity, and material used.
- Operate within the client-defined boundaries while coordinating with field partners.
- Finish all mandatory Inizio and client training, including competency checks, within the required timelines.
- Record all office interactions and required reporting accurately each day.
- Log time and expenses using the designated Inizio systems.
- Keep professional registration or licensure active as required by Inizio and applicable state laws.
- Attend local and national meetings or conferences when requested to stay updated on program changes and share best practices.
- Care for client and company equipment and materials according to provided instructions.
- Follow company policy, the code of conduct, and all outside industry regulations in every aspect of the work.
- Remain reachable during working hours to answer questions and carry out duties.
- Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license at all times and immediately report any violations or accumulated penalty points.
- Manage the assigned territory effectively and travel as required, including overnight trips.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned.
- Note that Clinical Educators do not provide nursing care, treatment advice, or drug promotion/marketing.
Required background
- You must be a qualified healthcare professional with an active state license; respiratory therapists and registered nurses are preferred.
- An Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, BSN, or similar relevant work experience is needed.
- At least 3 years of experience in a specific disease state or related area is required; respiratory background is preferred.
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector as a clinical educator or in sales is preferred.
- You should have strong professional communication and presentation ability.
- Comfort presenting to physicians and a range of office personnel is important.
- Strong people skills, organization, and the ability to work independently while setting priorities are needed.
- You must be able to handle multiple responsibilities and territory priorities at the same time.
- A proactive, self-driven approach with strong personal motivation is expected.
- Ongoing professional development and a commitment to maintaining clinical knowledge are important.
- Willingness to travel up to 75%, including overnight travel, is required, and you must live in the assigned territory.
- You should be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and use standard office equipment.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary range for this position is $88,000 to $163,000 per year. Final pay will depend on experience, skills, internal equity, and business requirements.
