Role Overview

This is a full-time, onsite cleaning position at Capital 11 Hotel in Accra. The person in this role will help keep guest rooms, corridors, common areas, and service spaces clean and sanitary. The job includes day-to-day housekeeping duties, proper use of cleaning tools and supplies, and coordination with other hotel teams to ensure rooms and shared areas are always presentable and ready for guests.

Key Duties

• Carry out routine cleaning across guest rooms, hallways, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and vacuum surfaces as part of regular upkeep.
• Make beds, replace used linens, and restock room amenities when required.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and other hygiene-sensitive areas.
• Remove waste and dispose of trash properly.
• Report any maintenance concerns or property issues promptly.
• Use cleaning materials and equipment safely and appropriately.
• Follow hotel sanitation, hygiene, and safety procedures at all times.
• Work with housekeeping and front desk staff to make sure rooms are ready on schedule.

Requirements

• Hands-on ability to handle standard cleaning work such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and bathroom sanitation.
• Strong eye for detail and a consistent focus on cleanliness and presentation.
• Ability to manage time well and complete assigned tasks within schedule.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry supplies or equipment for long periods.
• Working knowledge of safe handling practices for cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays when needed by the hotel.
• Basic communication ability to understand instructions and interact respectfully with others.
• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar setting is helpful, though not mandatory.
