Role overview
BESFIT is hiring a Bar Supervisor for its Rottnest Island venue in Western Australia. This live-on position is available in a casual or full-time arrangement, with pay at Level 3–4 depending on experience, plus accommodation and other benefits. The role is suitable for someone with strong hospitality experience who is ready to take on a leadership position in a distinctive island setting.
The preferred start date is immediate, or as soon as the successful candidate is available. The employer is especially open to applicants on a second Working Holiday Visa who are looking to extend their stay in Australia, provided they can commit for at least six months.
What the role involves
- Oversee day-to-day bar operations and assist the team during busy service periods.
- Monitor inventory, support stocktakes, and help refine bar setup, layout, and operating procedures.
- Maintain RSA compliance and ensure workplace health and safety standards are followed at all times.
- Help train junior team members and uphold consistently high service standards.
- Partner with management to improve workflow efficiency and the overall guest experience.
- Respond to customer feedback and contribute to a lively, friendly atmosphere.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant will bring at least two years of experience in bar supervision or a senior bartender role, along with solid knowledge of cocktails and beverages. Strong leadership, communication, and staff motivation abilities are important, as is a detail-focused approach to stock control and ordering.
You should be organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a busy environment. A positive, hands-on mindset is essential, and the position requires a minimum six-month commitment.
