Role Summary
As the Warehouse Controller, you will oversee daily warehouse activity to make sure physical operations and system records stay fully aligned. The role focuses on accurate inventory control, smooth execution of warehouse processes, and adherence to internal standards that support productivity, efficiency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day warehouse functions such as receiving, storage, picking, staging, and distribution.
- Verify that every physical movement is properly recorded in the WMS/ERP system.
- Prepare and track Transfer Orders (TOs) and follow up on system updates.
- Check warehouse work against operational checklists and SOPs to ensure consistency.
- Maintain stock accuracy, proper bin allocation, and overall inventory integrity.
- Apply company warehouse policies, procedures, and working standards consistently.
- Review picking flow to reduce unnecessary movement and improve efficiency.
- Control replacement orders, high-risk items, and stock mismatches.
- Ensure newly received assortments are stacked and stored correctly according to best practices.
- Allocate warehouse zones to team members and clarify individual duties.
- Carry out regular spot checks across warehouse areas to confirm process compliance.
- Take preventive action to minimize damage, shrinkage, and operational waste.
- Improve warehouse performance and day-to-day productivity through active monitoring.
- Perform housekeeping and inventory checks as per cycle count plans.
- Ensure staged goods are processed within SLA timelines.
- Track equipment condition and report maintenance requirements without delay.
- Plan daily work assignments for warehouse staff and communicate expectations clearly.
- Coach, support, and motivate team members to strengthen performance and collaboration.
- Monitor and report warehouse KPIs and team results.
Requirements
- At least 3–4 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or warehouse supervision.
- Hands-on experience in warehouse controlling responsibilities is required.
- Practical knowledge of SAP and/or WMS is essential.
- Strong understanding of warehouse workflows, including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch.
- Good grasp of stock control, inventory accuracy, and bin management.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Ability to handle several warehouse tasks at once.
- Proven leadership and team coordination capability.
- Discipline in following instructions and enforcing operational standards.
