About the role

VINZ (Vehicle Inspection NZ) is looking for a Used Light Entry Inspector to join its vehicle inspection team in Christchurch. The role sits within a supportive, people-focused workplace that values individuality, teamwork, and a positive day-to-day environment.

What you’ll do

You’ll be part of the vehicle inspection function, using your mechanical knowledge and fault-identification ability to help assess used light vehicles in line with the relevant entry requirements. The position also involves working closely with customers and colleagues in a workshop-style setting.

What we’re looking for

The ideal person will have at least 4 years of relevant trade experience and/or a trade qualification. You should be able to obtain NZTA Used Light Entry authority, hold a full New Zealand driver’s licence, and have experience spotting vehicle faults in a workshop environment. Strong customer service, a team-oriented approach, honesty, reliability, and a sharp eye for detail are also important.

Eligibility

Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand for at least 30 months.
