Role summary
The Supply Chain Data Analyst will gather, evaluate, and interpret data across supply chain, procurement, inventory, and operational functions to strengthen decision-making across the business. The position focuses on building reports, dashboards, and insights that enhance supplier performance, purchasing effectiveness, stock accuracy, cost management, forecasting, and end-to-end supply chain visibility. Success in this role requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, comfort with large datasets and ERP platforms, and the ability to work effectively with multiple teams.

- Contribute to demand planning, inventory optimization, and reporting on material availability.
- Work closely with procurement, operations, finance, warehouse, and project teams to improve data quality and reporting workflows.
- Analyze spending and identify opportunities to reduce cost, standardize purchasing, and improve buying decisions.
- Clean, validate, and structure data from ERP, procurement, inventory, and vendor systems.

- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for materials, suppliers, and inventory.
- Help improve systems, automate processes, and strengthen data governance.
- Investigate the root causes of supply chain issues and propose data-backed solutions.
- Protect the confidentiality and accuracy of company, supplier, and financial information.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Finance, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or a related discipline; relevant equivalent experience may also be accepted. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, operations analytics, inventory analysis, or business intelligence is required. Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, lookups, and data modeling, are essential, along with hands-on experience using ERP, procurement, inventory, or warehouse management systems. The role also calls for the ability to interpret large datasets, turn analysis into clear business guidance, maintain high data accuracy, communicate well with both technical and non-technical audiences, and stay organized while solving problems effectively.
Preferred experience
Additional value will be given to candidates with experience using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or similar analytics and visualization tools. Experience in construction, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or industrial supply environments is also helpful, as is familiarity with procurement, inventory control, supplier management, and demand planning processes. Knowledge of common supply chain KPIs such as inventory turns, on-time delivery, purchase price variance, supplier performance, lead time, fill rate, and working capital is preferred.
Physical requirements
During the course of work, the employee will regularly need to stand, sit, speak, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and other office equipment. Occasional reaching, stooping, or kneeling may be required. The role also requires close vision due to computer-based work.
