What the Team Works On
- Developing and supporting multi-tenant embedded finance infrastructure that serves major customers and meets demanding availability, latency, throughput, and cross-region requirements.
- Owning cross-functional product capabilities that sit across business, regulatory, and technical boundaries, including areas such as taxation, compliance-heavy workflows, and monetization tooling.
- Creating technical solutions for enterprise prospects by converting business needs into architecture that can influence large deal outcomes.
Role Impact
- Contribute directly to the growth of businesses using Airwallex products.
- Work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers from concept through launch.
- Apply strong product understanding to build solutions that address real customer needs.
- Use data to evaluate product performance and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.

Preferred Background
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, with 8+ years expected for Staff level, especially in Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience in fintech, payments, or regulated industries is a strong advantage.
- Background in high-scale systems, including performance tuning at 100k+ QPS and low-latency environments.
- Exposure to multi-tenant SaaS or platform engineering.
- Hands-on familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or major cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, API design, and developer documentation.
- Experience with cross-region deployments or data residency compliance.
- Customer-facing technical work or solutions engineering experience is beneficial.

Compensation
The listed compensation range is SGD 240K to SGD 300K.
