About the Role

ANH Healthcare is hiring a compassionate Staff Nurse for Ashbury Nursing Home, which is based in Deansgrange/Blackrock, South Dublin, and operates as part of the Glas Care Group, a network of four nursing homes in Dublin.

The role is focused on delivering high-quality, person-centred nursing support to residents in a permanent, on-site position.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Staff Nurse will provide daily nursing care that is tailored to each resident, assess care needs, and contribute to the creation, delivery, and review of care plans. The role also includes giving medication in line with doctors' instructions and NMBI and HIQA standards, while ensuring that controlled medicines are handled safely and in accordance with legal and procedural requirements. You will work closely with other professionals involved in residents' care and with families, supporting residents' physical, psychological, and spiritual needs as part of a holistic approach.

Requirements

• Must be on the NMBI Live Register under the General Division; decision letter holders are not eligible.
• Previous nursing home experience in the Irish healthcare system is preferred but not essential.
• A nursing degree from a recognised third-level institution is required.
• Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of the nursing home.
• Must be legally permitted to work in Ireland.
• Interest in gerontology is an added advantage.

Training and Development
