Spanish Language Assistant

About the role

Canberra Grammar School is looking for a motivated and engaging Spanish Language Assistant to support its Language Acquisition team. This part-time, on-site role offers the chance to work with experienced educators and help students strengthen their confidence, spoken ability, and appreciation of Spanish language and culture.

This opportunity is well suited to someone who is enthusiastic about languages, enjoys working with young people, and wants to contribute meaningfully to student learning and development.

What the role is about

• Helping students build fluency and confidence in Spanish.

• Working closely with teachers and other staff to assist student progress.

About you

The school is seeking someone who brings energy, professionalism, and a collaborative approach. You should be comfortable communicating with students, parents, and teaching staff, and be able to contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Fluent in both Spanish and English.
• French fluency would be an advantage.
• Able to work well with colleagues in a team setting.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with students, parents, and educators.
• Strong administrative and organisational ability to support learning activities.
• Willingness and ability to learn and use school IT systems.

• Relevant qualifications.
• Current ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card.
• Current National Police Check.
• Full working rights in Australia.
