Sourcing Specialist

Role overview

This position supports supply management efforts by improving sourcing efficiency, helping secure better commercial terms from suppliers, and contributing to the unit’s wider coordination activities to deliver business objectives. The role focuses on cost savings, profitability improvement, and structured supplier engagement.

Sourcing and compliance

• Make sure sourcing activities follow all applicable laws and regulations set by the business and the Government of Abu Dhabi.
• Support procurement in a manner that is ethical, compliant, and consistent with international standards as well as local legal requirements.
• Ensure the sourcing and supplier selection process remains transparent and meets the ethical expectations of both the organization and the Government of Abu Dhabi.
• Keep the vendor database current by managing pre-qualification details, background verification, onboarding records, and registration status such as trade and commercial licence validity.
• Assist in creating quality performance standards and corrective actions aimed at improving supplier performance, and help verify milestone deliverables.

Vendor and supplier relations

• Support the team during the bidding cycle by handling supplier questions and directing queries to the appropriate people promptly and efficiently.
• Help coordinate supplier pre-qualification and due diligence for bidder lists with relevant business partners to improve the accuracy of vendor selection.
