Role Overview
Nascon is kicking off several residential, commercial, and industrial builds in the Banksia and Arncliffe areas and is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor / Sub Foreman to join the team. You will work directly with the Site Foreman and Construction Manager and contribute to the successful delivery of a residential apartment building and an industrial project. This role suits a motivated construction professional ready to advance their career.
About the Position
In this role, you will help oversee the day-to-day running of site activities, making sure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a strong standard of quality.
Key Duties
- Support the coordination and control of daily site operations.
- Lead and schedule subcontractors and trades in accordance with the construction timeline.
- Track project advancement and help ensure important milestones and deadlines are met.
- Uphold workmanship quality, assurance standards, and a well-presented site.
- Make sure Workplace Health & Safety obligations and company procedures are followed.
- Organise site access, deliveries, and movement of materials.
- Spot issues early and take action to reduce delays.
- Assist the Foreman and Construction Manager in delivering project goals.
Candidate Profile
To be successful, you should bring solid experience in Class 2 residential apartment construction, preferably with a head contractor or principal contractor. Background across structural works, façades, fit-out, or finishing trades will be an advantage. High-rise residential experience is useful, though not mandatory. You will need a strong focus on quality, safety, and results, along with either a Carpentry trade qualification or a Construction Management degree. A good working knowledge of WHS legislation and site procedures is essential, as are strong communication, leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and independent working skills. You should also be highly detail-oriented and proactive in your approach.
