Role overview
SUEZ is looking for a Site Operative in Redruth to support the running of a household waste recycling site. This is a permanent, full-time position focused on helping members of the public use the facility safely and correctly while improving the recovery and segregation of materials. The role also offers health and safety training and the opportunity to work toward additional qualifications.

- Location: Redruth / United Mines HWRC, Redruth
- Hours: 40 per week
- Pay: £12.81 per hour
- Shift pattern: Friday to Tuesday, with Wednesday and Thursday as rest days
- Full PPE is supplied

What the role involves
You will be the first point of support for site users, giving clear guidance on how to use the facility so materials are handled efficiently and recovery rates are maximised. The position includes keeping site records accurate, arranging container swaps and load bookings, and making sure the site remains orderly and ready for proper material separation and storage.
You will also be expected to help maintain a safe working environment, follow site permit conditions, comply with all legal and internal requirements, and work cooperatively with colleagues to meet operational standards.
Growth and training
This role comes with the chance to develop professionally through training such as IOSH Health & Safety and COTC Level 4 in waste industry operations. SUEZ is seeking someone who can contribute positively to the site team and help raise standards across day-to-day operations.
