Role overview
NVIDIA is seeking a senior researcher to advance quantum algorithm work at the intersection of quantum computing and AI. In this role, you will help expand the adoption of NVIDIA’s offerings while partnering with Product, Engineering, and Research teams to shape new solutions in areas such as AI-driven quantum algorithm discovery, sophisticated quantum simulation, and digital twin use cases.
This is a high-impact position within a compact Quantum group that has visibility across NVIDIA and within the broader quantum ecosystem. The team is looking for someone with strong expertise in quantum algorithms and applications, plus the motivation to help influence where the field goes next.
Key responsibilities
- Build and lead technical collaborations with supercomputing centers on hybrid quantum-classical application development across several industry domains.
- Drive research exploration in AI methods for quantum algorithms and identify promising technical directions.
- Own the technical execution of projects with strategic partners, including supercomputing centers, QPU developers, and research leaders, while keeping work aligned with business goals and customer outcomes.
- Support NVIDIA’s business growth by contributing technical expertise that strengthens customer adoption and long-term strategic relationships.
- Produce influential research publications and represent NVIDIA at scientific, technical, and industry events.
Requirements
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in quantum algorithms and quantum applications.
- Strong familiarity with the Singapore quantum landscape and established connections within that ecosystem.
- Proven experience leading technical collaborations with external industry partners.
- Excellent programming ability in Python, C++, and a parallel programming framework such as CUDA.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain technical value to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A strong publication and presentation record from leading conferences.
Preferred profile
Applicants with recognized thought leadership at the intersection of applied quantum research and high-performance computing will stand out. Prior exposure to NVIDIA’s quantum stack, including cuQuantum and CUDA-Q, is also considered an advantage.
