Sanitation Tech

Job Summary

This role focuses on keeping the facility and warehouse clean, orderly, and safe. The work must be carried out in line with Preferred Work Methods (PWM).

Responsibilities

• Clear trash and debris from warehouse spaces and dock areas.
• Clean up product spills and any other foreign materials.
• Use powered scrubbers, walk-behind sweepers/scrubbers, and similar warehouse cleaning equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse surfaces such as walls, floors, racking, and doors.
• Keep the building exterior and interior areas tidy, including grounds, lighting, and parking lots.
• Disinfect restrooms, offices, break rooms, and locker rooms.
• Work according to the daily plan set by the supervisor to support ongoing sanitation coverage.
• Help ensure the warehouse remains a clean and safe place to work.
• Carry out additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent qualification.

Experience: Prior sanitation work in a warehouse setting is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements

This job includes physically active work. The employee is expected to communicate clearly by speaking and hearing, use hands and fingers with good dexterity, and regularly stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally taste or smell as needed.

The role requires lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.

Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to adjust focus.
