What you'll do

The Research Assistant will help clinical research coordinators and site staff carry out protocol-driven patient visits, documentation, and operational tasks. The position also involves participant support, study coordination, and maintaining compliance with research standards.

  • Assist with patient visits and procedures required by study protocols, such as phlebotomy, IV placement, injections, vital signs, and ECG/EKG support.
  • Record study data and assessments in line with regulatory and Good Clinical Practice expectations.
  • Obtain informed consent and document it according to federal rules and IRB requirements.
  • Support recruitment activities and scheduling efforts to help the site meet enrollment targets.
  • Keep source records accurate and complete case report forms.
  • Escalate adverse events to supervisors or investigators when needed.
  • Track study supplies, lab kits, and other trial materials.
  • Protect confidentiality and follow ethical and compliance standards at all times.
  • Coordinate clearly with research team members and document study-related communication.
  • Represent the organization professionally in every interaction.

Work conditions and physical demands
