Cruise Whitsundays, headquartered in Airlie Beach, is the Whitsundays’ largest marine tour and transport operator. The business offers close-up access to the Great Barrier Reef, Whitehaven Beach, and the surrounding islands through a fleet of 10 air-conditioned, well-equipped vessels and a premium sailing catamaran. Services include day tours, island transfers, and connections across two islands, one airport, and two mainland ports on a regular daily schedule.

The company also runs Australia’s first underwater accommodation experience, Reefsuites, and the Reefsleep glamping experience at Reefworld pontoon, located offshore at Hardy Reef on the Great Barrier Reef.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time opportunity for a hospitality and housekeeping professional to join the team as a Reefsleep Host. The role plays a key part in creating memorable overnight guest experiences at Reefworld while supporting exceptional service delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing outstanding guest service throughout the overnight stay experience
• Helping deliver the Reefworld guest journey and daily program
• Assisting with food and beverage service at guest contact points
• Keeping accommodation areas clean, well-presented, and maintained to high housekeeping standards
• Following rosters, operating procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements
• Creating a warm, engaging, and memorable atmosphere for visitors
• Collecting guest feedback and contributing to Net Promoter Score outcomes

About You

The right candidate will be enthusiastic about delivering top-tier guest experiences and will bring practical knowledge in both fine dining service and housekeeping. Strong attention to detail, high standards, and a team-focused mindset are essential. You should also be a positive ambassador for Cruise Whitsundays and Journey Beyond.

What You’ll Need

• Experience in guest accommodation or rooms division management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build good working relationships
• A dependable, self-driven, and proactive approach
• Sound problem-solving ability and flexibility in changing situations
• A constructive attitude that supports a positive team culture
• Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, or Leadership is preferred
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
• HLTAID015 Provide CPR & Oxygen Resuscitation
• SITSS00016 Food Safety Supervisor
• Elements of Shipboard Safety
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• National police clearance
