Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Project Engineer in the United Arab Emirates. The selected candidate will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of steel construction assignments, covering structural steel, cladding, and fireproofing activities.

Key Duties

The Project Engineer will review technical drawings and design information, build project timelines, and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and site teams to keep work moving according to plan. The role also includes tracking project status, visiting sites to check progress, and making sure work meets safety and quality expectations.

In addition, the engineer will address technical and construction-related challenges, prepare project reports and supporting documentation, and communicate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project needs are understood and delivery remains timely and cost-efficient.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should have a strong grasp of structural steel engineering, including design, detailing, fabrication, and erection. Experience in project planning and control, such as scheduling, allocating resources, and monitoring progress, is important.

Applicants need to be comfortable interpreting drawings, specifications, and other technical documents, and should understand construction site practices, safety rules, and quality control methods. The role also requires the ability to work with multiple teams and manage subcontractors and suppliers effectively.

Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and sound judgment are essential, along with good communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal teams, consultants, and clients.

A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline is required, while professional certifications are considered an advantage. Prior experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role within steel construction or industrial projects in the UAE or GCC region is preferred. Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, Tekla, and MS Project or similar software is beneficial.
