Pharmacy Technician

Role Overview

This position involves supporting pharmaceutical preparation and dispensing activities through a mix of administrative and technical work. The role is carried out under the direction of a qualified pharmacist and must follow established procedures, clinical guidelines, and regulatory standards.

Key Duties

• Accurately prepare and dispense medicines while working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and complying with company and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks linked to prescriptions, dispensing, billing, insurance claims, and cash handling.
• Help manage inventory by supporting stock control processes, proper medicine storage, maintenance of stock levels, and delivery of medication to wards when required.
• Contribute to patient file management and insurance-related administration.
• Observe governance, compliance, and risk management practices to support patient safety and organisational standards.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from an accredited institution is required, subject to the relevant licensing authority’s rules. Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the appropriate healthcare authority is preferred. Candidates should have 2 to 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical role within a healthcare environment, along with valid registration in their country of origin.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong computer skills, including confidence using MS Office
• Understanding of insurance processing and billing procedures
• Clear verbal and written English communication
