The Opportunity
The company is expanding and is looking for a Performance Social Content Editor to join the creative team. In this role, you will handle the production side of performance ad content, editing videos and graphics that are designed to capture attention and improve results for some of Australia’s most exciting ecommerce brands. This position suits someone who is confident in an edit suite and understands why one creative cut performs better than another.
What You’ll Do
- Create strong-performing video and graphic ads for Meta and TikTok, with emphasis on short-form content made for each platform.
- Build a variety of creative assets, including UGC-style ads, static creatives, GIFs, motion graphics, and similar formats using supplied materials and existing footage.
- Collaborate closely with creative strategists to turn briefs into effective output, while also challenging ideas when you believe a better approach exists.
- Review top-performing creative on Meta and TikTok to understand current trends and apply those learnings to your own work.
- Use AI tools and workflows within your editing process to improve speed, efficiency, and creative output.
- Handle several projects across multiple ecommerce brands at once while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high quality of work.
Requirements
- Prior experience producing social media content and/or paid advertising creatives, preferably in an agency or ecommerce setting.
- Strong short-form video editing ability, especially for platform-native Meta ad content.
- Comfort with multiple formats, including motion graphics and basic graphic design, not only video editing.
- A strong interest in social media trends and performance creative, with an understanding of why certain ads work.
- Hands-on experience with CapCut or similar tools, along with Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva for graphic editing tasks.
- Curiosity about paid social performance and an interest in the data behind creative decisions.
- Willingness to use AI tools to work more efficiently and produce more output.
- Ability to move quickly between different briefs, brands, and content styles in a fast-paced environment.
