Role Overview
This position calls for a careful and seasoned payroll professional to oversee complete payroll operations for a manufacturing setup. The role involves managing payroll for a sizeable workforce that includes workers, office staff, and contract employees, while staying aligned with company policies and statutory rules.
Location and Working Pattern
Location: Sitapura, Jaipur
Working days: 6 days a week
Core Responsibilities
- Run the monthly payroll cycle accurately and ensure all processing is completed on time.
- Work out salary, overtime, incentives, bonuses, shift-based allowances, and all applicable deductions.
- Cross-check attendance, leave information, and payroll inputs collected from different departments.
- Make sure employee payments are released on schedule and salary slips are generated correctly.
- Handle statutory obligations such as PF, ESI, TDS, and other compliance requirements.
- File statutory returns within the required timelines and support audits or inspections by government bodies.
- Maintain employee master records in HRMS or ERP platforms.
- Manage onboarding, employee exits, full and final settlement, and salary changes.
- Keep payroll records current, complete, and accurate.
- Create payroll reports, MIS statements, and management dashboards.
- Match payroll figures with finance and accounts teams for reconciliation.
- Support both internal and external payroll-related audits.
- Administer payroll for factory workers across shifts and production units.
- Process attendance data collected through biometric systems.
- Coordinate contractor payroll and related compliance matters.
- Ensure overtime, production incentives, and shift allowances are calculated correctly.
Experience and Qualifications
Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of payroll experience in a manufacturing environment. A bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a similar discipline is required. A payroll management certification will be considered an advantage. Experience managing payroll for more than 500 employees is preferred, along with exposure to factory payroll, contractor handling, and labour law compliance.
Technical Skills
The role requires a solid understanding of payroll processing, PF, ESI, TDS, and labour legislation. Familiarity with HRMS or ERP tools such as SAP, Oracle, GreytHR, or Darwinbox is needed, along with advanced Excel capabilities including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and MIS reporting. Knowledge of attendance tracking and biometric systems is also important.
