Operations Controller

Role overview

This role is focused on keeping the airline operation safe, on time, and dependable. The successful candidate will work on their own as well as with other teams to support A320 and B787 fleet operations across the Scoot network.

Key duties

• Release flights in line with company procedures and CAAS regulatory requirements.
• Monitor flights in progress and act early to reduce delays or service disruptions.
• Support efficient use of crew and aircraft resources.
• Manage schedule adjustments and help restore disrupted flying programmes.
• Oversee day-to-day operational matters, including aircraft up-gauges and down-gauges, and share relevant updates with all affected parties based on operational needs.

What we are looking for

• A degree in any field is preferred. Candidates with a diploma in an aviation-related discipline and relevant experience in a similar role will also be considered.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including rotating rest days, weekends, and public holidays.
• Strong planning and communication skills, with the ability to handle several tasks with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and willing to learn and operate advanced aviation scheduling systems.
• Prior exposure to the Merlot rostering system and operations work will be an advantage.
