The Mobile Cleaner II supports tenant satisfaction, customer relations, and compliance with internal standards as well as applicable health, safety, and fire protection requirements. The position is based in Burlington, Ontario, Canada and involves work across multiple locations as assigned.

What You’ll Do

You will carry out recurring cleaning and specialty cleaning work under the direction of a manager or supervisor. Day-to-day tasks may include general housekeeping, restroom sanitation, floor care, glass cleaning, waste handling, and other site-specific cleaning duties.

• Remove waste, replace liners, and move garbage to the designated collection point.
• Sweep hard floors, vacuum carpets, and mop surfaces with suitable cleaning or disinfecting solutions.
• Dust desks, shelves, ledges, countertops, light fixtures, and other horizontal or accessible surfaces.
• Clean high-touch areas such as switches, handles, and other contact points.
• Arrange furniture and seating in common areas, meeting rooms, lobbies, and open spaces.
• Collect, sort, and move recyclables and garbage to final disposal or recycling locations.
• Pick up litter outdoors and remove larger debris when requested.
• Clean interior glass, entrance mats, and restroom fixtures and surfaces.
• Restock washroom supplies and maintain overall restroom hygiene and appearance.
• Perform specialized cleaning such as exterior glass work, dust removal at height, pressure washing, strip-and-wax floor care, carpet extraction, upholstery cleaning, tile and grout scrubbing, and polishing of various floor types.
• Carry out biohazard or contaminated-area cleaning using approved disinfectants and proper protective equipment.
• Respond to water extraction needs related to leaks or flooding.
• Clean stairwells and elevators, including ladder-required tasks.
• Assist with snow removal from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas using appropriate equipment or de-icing materials.
• Complete site checks and quality inspections after work is finished or when needed.
• Inspect fire extinguishers, lights, dispensers, and related equipment; record findings and report issues.
• Perform minor repairs or installations of dispensers and assemble janitorial tools or equipment as needed.
• Replace light bulbs where included in the contract.
• Report deficiencies to the Facility Manager during inspections.
• Move machinery, equipment, and supplies between warehouse and sites when required.
• Take before-and-after photos and document completed work in the designated system.

Requirements

• Availability for day or night shifts, rotating schedules, on-call coverage, emergency call-outs, and escalation support.
• Willingness to respond to calls and emails outside normal working hours.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift more than 35 pounds.
• Readiness to wear personal protective equipment for all assigned work.
• Ability to travel to and work at multiple sites when needed.
• At least 3 years of experience in industrial or commercial cleaning operations.
• Hands-on experience with cleaning equipment such as bonnet machines, carpet extractors, and auto scrubbers.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using tablets, phones, and computers for work documentation.
• Working knowledge of environmental, health and safety practices, including WHMIS.
• Must meet security clearance requirements where applicable.
• Valid Class G driver’s license is required.

Physical Requirements

• This role involves occasional lifting and moving of items weighing up to 35 pounds.

This is a regular full-time position. The starting compensation is based on the selected candidate’s experience, education, performance, and overall fit for the role. Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $46,476 to $52,000.
