About Magma Math
Magma is a fast-scaling EdTech company that uses AI to reshape how mathematics is taught. Its platform converts handwritten work into digital data that helps teachers spend more time on creativity and deeper learning, while also giving them live insight into student progress.
The company’s mission is to make math classrooms more inclusive, engaging, and effective for every learner. It is also focused on solving a major global education issue: weak math performance. Since 1 in 5 students worldwide struggles with math, Magma sees significant room to improve outcomes at scale.
The platform is already used in thousands of schools, and the company continues to expand quickly across the U.S. and Europe with a team built around ambitious goals.
The Role
This position focuses on the German curriculum team, which handles the math problems shared with students in Germany. The core responsibility is to create, structure, and maintain math content that supports schools and school districts in the German market.
You will use AI tools extensively to work efficiently, coordinate with the German team to collect classroom feedback, and visit schools in Germany to see how the content performs in practice and identify ways to improve the learning experience for both students and teachers.
The role also offers exposure to cross-functional collaboration with sales, product development, and customer success. For someone who likes taking on new challenges, there is room to expand responsibilities and grow with the company.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is ambitious, target-driven, comfortable working toward deadlines, and motivated by completing projects to a high standard. You should be curious about how AI can be used in content creation and open to learning quickly, especially in relation to math curricula.
Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to work in a fast-moving startup environment are important for success in this role.
Requirements
You must be fluent in both German and English, spoken and written. This is an in-office position, so you should be comfortable working from the office rather than remotely. A background in education is helpful but not mandatory.
What We Offer
This is a full-time role with salary and benefits, offering the chance to contribute to a meaningful mission and make a real difference in education.
You will join a young, ambitious company with strong goals, supportive colleagues, and a collaborative atmosphere. Additional benefits include an annual company trip.
Additional Information
Start date: as soon as possible.
Office location: Mindspace, Friedrichstraße 68, 10117 Berlin.
The company follows a 5-day-per-week in-office policy.
