Role overview

As Manager, Business Development, you will focus on sales opportunities in clinical and development services. The position centers on creating and executing new sales approaches while building strategic relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Identify potential leads, run outbound campaigns to reach target prospects, and collaborate with the Business Development Executive team to shape prospecting processes.
  • Plan, steer, and oversee sales and business activities for assigned accounts together with management.
  • Lead negotiations for contract manufacturing, clinical development, formulation, and packaging services.
  • Develop and sustain long-term relationships with customers.
  • Prepare and present business proposals that move from development into commercial production, including opportunities to combine services strategically.
  • Spot new business possibilities, market shifts, customer needs, and emerging trends.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, conferences, and seminars to build market awareness and generate leads.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Research & Development on market research and sales promotion initiatives.
  • Act as a proactive, customer-focused technical link between customers and Simtra Commercial teams to help deliver an excellent client experience.

What you should bring

  • A completed degree in chemistry, industrial engineering, or another related natural sciences field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.
  • Background in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare sectors, ideally with exposure to Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADC) or contract manufacturing.
  • Experience in process development or commercial manufacturing in sterile injectables is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A high degree of initiative, self-management, and a practical, hands-on working style.
  • Professional fluency in English.
  • Willingness to travel 30% to 50% of the time.
