Tayto Snacks is the maker of some of Ireland’s best-known crisp and snack brands, including Tayto, Hunky Dorys, King, O'Donnell's, Hula Hoops, KP Nuts, Skips, Rancheros and Meanies. Based in Ashbourne, County Meath, around 40 minutes from Dublin city centre, the company operates a modern production site and head office where 350 colleagues work. Each year, the facility processes 30,000 tonnes of Irish potatoes, which accounts for 10% of the country’s total potato crop, to produce Ireland’s favourite crisps. Role Overview

This is a full-time, permanent night-shift position based in Ashbourne, County Meath. The role reports to the Line Lead within the Operations function.

Key Responsibilities

You will help keep the production area running safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. The position includes maintaining hygiene and housekeeping, supporting a consistent way of working across production shifts, and ensuring all quality checks and production records are completed accurately. You will also work to improve output and hourly efficiency by communicating regularly with the Line Lead, Maintenance Lead, Process Lead and Team Captains, and by making sure equipment and the work area are left in the correct condition at the end of the shift.

Skills and Attributes

The ideal candidate should be a proactive team contributor with a solid understanding of packing machinery. Computer literacy, such as working knowledge of Excel, is considered an advantage. A good grasp of product specifications and CCPs, strong communication skills, active listening, and a desire to learn and improve working methods are all important.

Requirements

Applicants should have at least 6 months’ experience operating manufacturing machinery. The role also calls for the ability to communicate effectively with management at different levels, both internally and externally, along with strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, problem-solving ability, good organisation, and a willingness to take part in personal development training.
