Role Overview

This Logistics Specialist position is a key after-hours operations role focused on keeping customer shipments moving smoothly from pickup to delivery. The role plays an important part in customer experience and operational performance by maintaining strong client relationships, quickly addressing issues, and supporting growth in revenue and margin.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for customers during after-hours coverage and provide prompt support with issue resolution.
• Handle shipment coordination tasks such as booking loads, monitoring transit progress, and entering data into transportation systems.
• Create customer quotes and work with carriers and customers on pricing so that rates remain competitive while protecting profitability.
• Work with internal teams to identify delays, remove operational roadblocks, and close service gaps.
• Track performance indicators including load volume, revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction metrics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant area is preferred.
• Previous experience in logistics, freight brokerage, transportation, or customer service is an advantage.
• Exposure to transportation management systems and logistics tools such as McLeod, MercuryGate, DAT, Truckstop, and E2open is preferred.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams, Dialpad, and analytics/reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, negotiation, organization, and customer service abilities.
• Capability to work independently in a remote, fast-moving setting while managing several priorities at once.

Compensation

The role is paid at an hourly rate of $34 to $37.50.
