Role summary

This is a full-time remote position for a Loading Bay Technician. The role supports the installation, setup, oversight, and documentation of loading bay equipment and related systems while coordinating with site-based teams and project managers using digital communication tools.

Key duties

• Examine technical drawings and specifications to understand equipment and job requirements.
• Work with field technicians and project teams to coordinate tasks and service activities.
• Record, update, and track work orders through maintenance or ticketing systems.
• Assist with fault-finding and troubleshooting using reports, sensors, and other available data.
• Prepare service records and keep inspection and maintenance logs accurate and current.
• Help ensure all work follows safety rules, compliance requirements, and internal procedures.
• Communicate with clients and colleagues to arrange schedules and clarify technical needs.
• Contribute ideas that improve workflows, documentation, and operating processes.

Requirements

• Hands-on technical and mechanical understanding of loading bay equipment, industrial parts, and basic electrical or hydraulic principles.
• Good administrative ability, including organised record-keeping and management of service schedules or work orders.
• Comfort using digital platforms for remote collaboration, reporting, and data entry, such as email, office software, and maintenance systems.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills for working with technicians, supervisors, and clients.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices, risk awareness, and regulatory or company compliance standards.
