Liberty Create Developer (Graduate Level)

Opportunity Overview

VE3 Global Technology Services is a UK technology consultancy focused on cloud, data, DevOps, and artificial intelligence. Through its partnership with Netcall, VE3 is hiring two graduate-level Liberty Create Developers to join a senior development team working inside a major UK public sector organisation on a staff augmentation model.

This is a strong entry-level opportunity for a graduate or early-career developer to gain practical, hands-on expertise in Netcall's Liberty Create low-code platform while contributing to a live digital transformation programme that supports citizen-facing services. Candidates who perform well may be considered for a permanent role with the end client after the six-month assignment ends.

Role Summary

In this position, you will work alongside an established Liberty Create development team and help design, build, test, and maintain low-code applications and automated workflows within the platform. Technical direction will come from the client's senior Liberty Create developers, while VE3 will remain your employer and provide training and welfare support throughout the engagement.

The role is intended to accelerate your development in a real delivery setting, giving you exposure to the full lifecycle of application delivery from requirements gathering through to deployment. As your confidence with Liberty Create increases, you will take on more independent work.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and configure low-code applications, workflow processes, and digital forms in Netcall Liberty Create, working under the guidance of senior developers.
• Set up and maintain data structures, business rules, integration touchpoints, and user interface elements within the platform.
• Help develop and support CRM and case management solutions, including service integrations and workflow automation.
• Contribute to fast-paced workflow changes and feature releases in line with the client's agile delivery plan.
• Assist with quality checks and user acceptance testing for new features, service modifications, and platform updates.
• Take part in configuration and code reviews with experienced Liberty Create developers.
• Record application settings, workflow logic, and change history in accordance with governance and audit expectations.
• Ensure development work aligns with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and applicable security controls for the public sector.
• Collaborate with service teams and business analysts to interpret requirements and convert them into platform configurations.
• Participate in agile meetings such as stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Raise technical issues, blockers, and ideas for improvement proactively with the senior team.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and documentation that help strengthen the team's capability around Liberty Create.

Essential Requirements

• Degree-level education, preferably in computer science or a closely related discipline, or comparable proven technical and analytical ability.
• Strong interest in low-code/no-code development, software engineering, or digital service delivery.
• Well-structured thinking, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to problem solving.
• Ability to learn new platforms and technical ideas quickly and apply them in a live delivery environment.
• Confident written and spoken communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-driven working style with the initiative to own tasks and complete them effectively.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving agile team with shifting priorities.
• Evidence of writing code independently from scratch, rather than only using existing templates or prebuilt tools, with the ability to explain your own code and design decisions.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript or another comparable scripting/programming language, as Liberty Create supports JavaScript-based logic and scripting.

Desirable Experience

• Practical exposure to Netcall Liberty Create through personal projects, university work, or self-directed learning.
• Experience with other low-code/no-code tools such as OutSystems, Mendix, Microsoft Power Platform, Appian, or ServiceNow.
• Exposure to CRM, case management, or workflow automation solutions.
• Familiarity with agile delivery methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Awareness of UK public sector digital delivery principles, the GDS Service Standard, or accessibility expectations.
• Basic understanding of SQL, REST APIs, or data integration concepts.
• Experience working with or inside a local authority, NHS organisation, or another public sector body.
• A portfolio, personal project, or academic project that demonstrates practical development or platform-building experience and can be discussed during interview.

Additional Information

The role is based in Maidenhead, England, United Kingdom and is intended as an on-site position. The assignment is expected to run for six months, and strong performers may be considered for permanent employment by the client at the end of that period.

VE3 will provide employment, training, and welfare support during the engagement, while day-to-day work will be guided by the client's senior Liberty Create developers.
