Role Overview

The Learning & Development Specialist will create, run, and assess training and capability-building initiatives that improve workforce preparedness at Lenovo Manufacturing KSA. Reporting to the L&D Lead, this position covers the complete learning cycle, from identifying needs to measuring impact, with a strong emphasis on manufacturing capability development, new-hire onboarding, and collaboration across Saudi Arabia and Lenovo’s China operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out training needs assessments across manufacturing, operations, and support teams to pinpoint skill gaps.
  • Build learning materials, courses, and workshops that align with business goals and Lenovo’s global standards.
  • Deliver classroom, virtual, and on-the-job learning sessions covering both technical and behavioural skills.
  • Run onboarding and orientation for new hires, including trainee groups.
  • Support learning programs involving Lenovo’s China-based teams, including trainee placements and knowledge-sharing at sites.
  • Create cross-cultural materials and briefings to help Saudi and China teams work effectively together.
  • Serve as a link between local and global L&D stakeholders to keep programs aligned and consistent.
  • Monitor learning indicators such as completion rates, mentor coverage, satisfaction scores, and total training hours.
  • Prepare dashboards and reports on learning outcomes for the L&D Lead and senior leaders.
  • Use data and participant feedback to suggest improvements.
  • Administer the LMS, training records, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, training partners, and assessment platforms.
  • Assist with psychometric and competency assessments for candidate and talent evaluation.
  • Ensure programs follow Lenovo policies, Saudi labor rules, and HRDF/relevant KSA training requirements.
  • Deliver company orientation sessions covering the company profile, organizational structure, and workplace policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, MIS, or a related discipline is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Talent Development is preferred, ideally in manufacturing, technology, or a multinational setting.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and delivering training programs from start to finish is needed.
  • Experience using LMS platforms and learning analytics/reporting tools is required.
  • Prior exposure to cross-cultural or international work environments is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to train employees and trainee cohorts across technical and soft-skill topics is expected.
