Lead Operations Data and Performance Analyst

Role overview

This position is focused on analyzing AOCC operational performance, both proactively and after events occur, while validating and reporting operational data to support better decisions and process improvement. It also strengthens visibility into how AOCC staff handle operational data and allocate hard resources, helping identify opportunities to improve performance. A further part of the role is contributing to the evolution of the AOCC reporting framework.

What you'll do

• Support the information systems team with technical input during major application rollouts by helping shape processes that lead to efficient, high-performing operational solutions.
• Create combined operational dashboards and analyze hard-resource allocation trends and reporting for management, including comparisons between live operations, planning, and historical data.
• Cut down on manual operational work by increasing automation across monitoring and day-of-operation support processes within AOCC.
• Prepare support materials and deliver training that encourages a more data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Generate reports and performance analysis for the AOCC department and its personnel against KPIs and other measures, ensuring results are timely, accurate, and clear about risks or improvement areas.
• Investigate operational issues in a structured way to find the source of data mismatches or recurring trends and recommend prevention measures.
• Use statistical techniques to study data, identify patterns, and build conclusions that can be presented to the Line Manager.
• Develop statistical outputs and supporting data for presentations, business cases, and management information reports as requested by leadership.
• Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with managers to understand business needs and provide current and target data to support KPI setting.
• Work with other analytics and reporting teams to strengthen operational reporting and explore improvement opportunities through alternative data sources.
• Design and build automated reports using available corporate applications, then capture, analyze, and present the results.
• Guide the AOCC duty team on the use of relevant data management and reporting systems.
• Carry out additional department duties assigned by the Head of Department.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant holds a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification and brings at least 4 years of job-related experience. Prior exposure to airport operations is required, along with a solid understanding of operations control centres. Strong analytical and presentation abilities are important for success in this role.

Eligibility

Professionals with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in airport operations and operations control centre environments are suitable for this role.
