Role Overview
The hotel is looking for an IT Executive who is hands-on, solutions-focused, and technically strong to keep all property technology running smoothly. The position supports day-to-day hotel operations by maintaining IT infrastructure, assisting staff across departments, and protecting system stability, security, and data accuracy in a busy hospitality setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep all hotel technology running by supporting computers, servers, network hardware, telephony, and POS platforms.
- Respond to user issues and resolve hardware and software problems promptly.
- Set up, install, and configure IT devices and systems for both new joiners and existing team members.
- Track system performance and ensure operational efficiency across all IT assets.
- Put reliable backup processes in place and verify them on a regular basis.
- Apply IT security practices and help safeguard systems against unauthorized access and threats.
- Manage user permissions so access levels match each employee’s role.
- Liaise with external vendors for maintenance work, service support, and upgrades.
- Keep accurate records of systems, licenses, and configuration details.
- Provide basic IT guidance and usage support to colleagues when needed.
- Assist with IT budget preparation and management reporting.
- Ensure IT assets are stored and handled in a secure, controlled environment.
- Handle urgent IT incidents and provide support wherever operational continuity is required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology or a closely related discipline.
- Between 1 and 3 years of experience in IT support, with hospitality exposure preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of Windows environments, networking fundamentals, and hotel systems such as PMS and POS.
- Understanding of IT security measures and data protection requirements.
- Strong diagnostic, analytical, and troubleshooting ability.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
- Service-minded with a strong eye for detail.
