About the role
Summerset is looking for a dependable and caring Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant for its Summerset at Wigram village. This fixed-term full-time position plays an important part in helping residents feel comfortable, respected, and at home by maintaining a clean, welcoming, and dignified environment.

What you will do
- Carry out thorough cleaning throughout resident rooms, bathrooms, shared spaces, laundry areas, and kitchen facilities.
- Wash, dry, fold, and return residents’ clothing and linens with care.
- Label, repair, and look after personal laundry items belonging to residents.
- Follow infection prevention, health, and safety practices at all times.
- Develop respectful and friendly relationships with residents while being mindful of their individual needs.
Work schedule
This is a full-time fixed-term position running from July 2026 to July 2027. The role is for 32 hours per week, with shifts scheduled for Tuesday to Thursday from 7:30am to 4:00pm and Friday from 7:00am to 2:30pm.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have housekeeping experience, preferably in healthcare or hospitality. Attention to detail, pride in your work, and physical stamina for active, on-your-feet duties are important. A sincere interest in aged care is also valued, and full training will be provided even if you do not have prior aged care experience.
