Role summary

The Beckley, West Virginia location is hiring Patient Ambassadors and Utility Workers for hospital culinary operations. The starting pay is $17 per hour, and both morning and evening shifts are available at 1710 Harper Rd, Beckley, WV 25801. The team is seeking approachable, caring, and collaborative individuals.

General responsibilities

• Make sure every patient gets the correct meal based on their order and dietary needs.
• Deliver thoughtful service so patients are pleased with their meals.
• Hand out and collect patient menus in a timely manner.
• Keep work areas stocked, tidy, and well organized.
• Set up cold and hot menu items along with condiments for service.
• Follow all rules for health, food handling, and sanitation within the facility.
• Support coworkers and supervisors to keep department operations running smoothly.

Utility worker duties

• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Keep the kitchen, dish room, and storage spaces clean and orderly.
• Remove trash and recycling according to facility processes.
• Help restock supplies such as food, cleaning products, and kitchen equipment.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation when needed.
• Follow sanitation, safety, and infection-control standards at all times.
• Clean floors, equipment, and work surfaces to maintain a safe environment.
• Help receive deliveries and store them correctly.

Requirements

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• Good personal grooming and hygiene are required, including proper uniform presentation.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in English and work effectively with others.
• All candidates must clear a background check and drug screening and show proof that they can legally work in the United States.

Physical requirements

• This role involves extended periods of standing and walking.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds are part of the job.
• Ability to use the equipment needed to complete essential duties is required.
