What You’ll Do

The Handyman Professional will handle small- to medium-sized maintenance and repair work for residential and commercial clients. Projects may last anywhere from two hours to two days. A key part of the role is explaining the scope of work to customers, setting clear expectations around timing and cost, and creating a positive experience that encourages repeat business. You will often work independently, collect payment after jobs are completed, and keep accurate job records using the company’s process. Proper protective equipment and booties must be worn to safeguard customer homes.

Requirements

Applicants must already live in the local area and have at least 8 years of paid handyman experience. You need to bring your own tools, be insurable to drive the company vehicle, and be willing to complete a background check and driving record check. The role also requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on your own, work safely at heights, and perform overhead work for extended periods. A professional appearance and proper care of the company vehicle are also expected.

Experience and Trade Skills

Candidates should be highly proficient in at least three of the following areas: carpentry, bathroom upgrades, kitchen upgrades, interior and exterior painting, minor and major drywall repair, general plumbing and electrical work where permitted by law, floor installation and refinishing, and understanding of building codes.
