The portfolio includes well-established Houses such as Parfums Christian Dior, Parfums Givenchy, Acqua di Parma, and Guerlain, as well as newer labels with growth potential including Kenzo Parfums, Fresh, and Make Up For Ever. The North America team is seeking a forecasting professional to join its Manhattan, New York office on Madison Avenue.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing baseline forecasting across one or more beauty brands and for reviewing forecasts related to launches and POSM lines in partnership with brand stakeholders. The position is based full time in New York City, Manhattan Madison Avenue brand offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own forecasting performance for the assigned scope and work toward targets such as forecast accuracy and forecast valuation against budget, while driving ongoing improvement actions.
  • Maintain and improve baseline forecasts through model oversight, parameter updates, and analysis of sell-in and sell-out trends across an 18-month rolling horizon, including retailer inputs to strengthen forecast accuracy.
  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to manage forecast parameters for launches and animation-related activity.
  • Keep item master data up to date, including item activation, item status, and end-of-life timing.
  • Push business partners, including senior leadership up to COMEX level, to ensure forecast logic is aligned and that any factors affecting sell-in are clearly understood, such as activations, strategy changes, or merchandising updates.
  • Train new marketing and sales employees on forecasting timelines and responsibilities.
  • Prepare forecast reporting for the monthly S&OP cycle, lead demand review meetings, and facilitate structured, data-backed conversations with local and HQ teams.
  • Contribute to the redesign and deployment of improved forecasting processes and supporting tools, and lead initiatives designed to raise forecast performance.
  • Take part in benchmarking efforts across Maisons and markets to support strong NAM performance.
  • Collaborate regularly with internal teams including Operations, Sales and KAM planners, Marketing, PCIS/IT, and Central Logistics, as well as external retail business partners.

Reporting Structure

The role reports to the Senior Manager, Demand & Supply Planning. No direct reports are indicated.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Management, or another quantitative discipline is required; a master’s degree in one of these fields is considered an advantage.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in sell-in forecasting is preferred, ideally within a company supplying major US department stores, though equivalent training in this area may also be acceptable.
  • Strong analytical capability is essential, including working with large data sets, automating analysis, producing reports, and synthesizing data into actionable insights.
  • The ability to structure complex problems, apply rigorous thinking, and convert analysis into practical business recommendations is needed.
  • The person must be able to manage priorities independently and adapt quickly to change.
  • Experience solving problems, leading improvement projects, and driving initiatives is important.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills are required to work across departments, management levels, and with France, including the ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort using Power BI are required.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and forecasting tools, especially machine-learning-based systems, is preferred.
  • French language skills are a plus.
  • The role involves handling confidential matters with discretion and sound judgment.
