Over more than 145 years, the company has built a portfolio of 350+ chocolate recipes and 90 gelato flavours, guided by high quality standards and the values of the Mediterranean diet. Its wider purpose is to contribute to better quality of life, meaningful social connections, and respect for the environment. Role Overview

Venchi is looking for a practical, detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee finance operations for Singapore and Malaysia, based in Singapore. The role will serve as the finance lead for both entities, ensuring local compliance while also supporting commercial decision-making and overall business performance. It brings together core accounting expertise with finance partnering, planning, and governance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the complete accounting cycle and manage month-end as well as year-end closing activities for Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Maintain compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and coordinate the external audit process.
  • Make sure audits are well-supported with accurate schedules, reconciliations, and complete documentation.
  • Handle GST compliance in Singapore and SST compliance in Malaysia, including related filings.
  • Manage corporate tax submissions and transfer pricing obligations.
  • Work with regulatory bodies such as IRAS, ACRA, SSM, and IRB as needed.
  • Track changes in laws and regulations and ensure the business remains compliant.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Perform variance analysis and translate financial data into practical business insights.
  • Support decisions related to expansion, pricing, and investment.
  • Act as a finance partner to local functional leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Provide financial guidance that helps teams make stronger business decisions.
  • Manage cash flow projections, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and working capital needs.
  • Assist with managing foreign exchange exposure across SGD and MYR.
  • Strengthen internal controls, governance practices, SOPs, and intercompany discipline.
  • Improve processes and support automation initiatives wherever possible.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance professional who is comfortable working in a lean environment, takes strong ownership, and can manage competing priorities under pressure.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as CA Singapore, CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent credential.
  • 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, including 2 to 3 years in a managerial position.
  • Experience from audit is considered an advantage.
  • Strong working knowledge of SFRS, MFRS, GST, and SST.
  • Ability to work in a structured, hands-on manner with a high level of accountability.
  • Capacity to meet tight deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and exposure to ERP platforms such as D365.
  • Digital and AI aptitude is a plus, especially for using AI-enabled tools to improve reporting, analysis, and decision support.
  • Immediate availability is an added advantage.
