About the Role
KONE is seeking a Field Support Technician (Tester) to join its Dubai team. The company emphasizes a strong people-first culture, with a workplace built around collaboration, diversity, growth, wellbeing, quality, and efficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Follow safe working practices at the site and maintain a strong focus on safety.
- Coordinate daily testing and commissioning work with the customer, while staying in close contact with the Field Supervisor.
- Check the unit against applicable codes and standards so it is mechanically and electrically safe, meets KONE’s internal and external quality expectations, and operates as required by the contract.
- Commission equipment in line with the agreed specifications and commissioning guidelines.
- Complete the final inspection and sign off the related inspection paperwork.
- Take part in inspections conducted by notified bodies or consultants, and support customer handover when needed.
- Spot installation quality problems and deviations that need corrective action, then report them to the Field Supervisor, who oversees all site activity.
- Contribute to quality improvement groups by using snag lists, raising technical observations from inspections, and sharing useful information.
- Use lean methods to reduce work interruptions and support huddles initiatives consistently.
Requirements
- A diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in the elevator industry, which is mandatory.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Basic IT knowledge is preferred.
- A strong digital background is highly valued.
