The role also calls for clear communication, teamwork across functions, and familiarity with regulated quality environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, roll out, and continuously improve analytics and trend-monitoring workflows using appropriate statistical approaches.
  • Examine large and complex datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and practical business insights.
  • Use Microsoft Excel at an advanced level for analysis, including pivot tables, formulas, statistical tools, and charts or visual outputs.
  • Study medical device complaint records to detect product quality and performance patterns.
  • Build and update dashboards and reports in Power BI, when available, to help meet business and quality goals.
  • Partner with Quality and Regulatory groups by supplying data-backed support for compliance, risk reduction, and improvement efforts.
  • Share findings and recommendations with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Protect data accuracy, data integrity, and adherence to relevant regulatory and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a similar discipline.
  • A strong grasp of statistical methods and data interpretation.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting tasks.
  • Hands-on experience creating data-trending methods and analytics processes from scratch.
  • Solid analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and attention to detail.
  • Strong speaking and writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Background in a regulated medical device environment.
  • Working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, and medical device quality systems.
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing complaint data related to medical devices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building interactive dashboards with Power BI.
  • Exposure to quality metrics, CAPA, complaint investigations, and post-market surveillance information.
  • Prior support of quality, regulatory, or compliance work in the medical device sector.

Experience

The preferred background is 3 to 7+ years in data analytics, quality analytics, or statistical analysis, ideally within medical devices or another regulated healthcare environment. The role also values a track record of turning complex data into clear insights that guide quality and business decisions.
