Role overview
Bank of China Limited Singapore Branch is seeking a Data Analyst to support business performance analysis and reporting for branch operations. The position focuses on turning raw data into clear insights that help evaluate trends, profitability, and other key measures, while also improving how reports and dashboards are produced and maintained.
Core responsibilities
- Extract, prepare, and clean data, then produce scheduled and one-off reports that support detailed analysis of branch operating trends, profitability, and other critical performance indicators.
- Partner with different teams and departments to collect reporting requirements and deliver analytical support.
- Work with stakeholders to clarify their information needs and design analysis outputs that match those needs.
- Build and update dashboards that track KPIs and key metrics.
- Streamline reporting workflows through automation to raise efficiency and reduce errors.
- Help improve data handling processes and reporting structures.
- Convert analysis results into practical recommendations that can inform business decisions.
- Carry out additional related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- A recognized university degree, ideally in Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a similar discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in data analytics.
- Strong analytical ability and solid understanding of the banking sector.
- Well-developed organizational and management skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, R programming, MS Excel, and BI tools.
- Ability to read and understand Chinese documents from Head Office is an advantage; proficiency in Chinese is preferred.
Additional information
This is a full-time onsite role based in Singapore. The position requires the candidate to interpret Chinese-language documents from Head Office, so Chinese language proficiency will be beneficial.
