Role overview

This is a fully remote, full-time contractor position for a Business Development Manager. The company hires across many regions, with preference for candidates based in Europe or within four hours of CEST. Applicants from the US, Australia, and New Zealand are not being considered.

As CoW DAO continues to expand across multiple chains and deepen its presence in B2B and institutional markets, this role will help strengthen and scale ecosystem relationships. The focus is both on maximizing the value of existing partnerships and on bringing new strategic partners and institutional players into the pipeline.

The right person will be deeply rooted in DeFi, understand how markets work, and be comfortable speaking to the needs of both technical and financial stakeholders. This role is meant for someone who can combine crypto fluency with strong partnership-building skills to help drive B2B growth for a protocol handling billions in volume.

What you will do

  • Work closely with the current partner network to simplify, deepen, and expand existing collaborations while also identifying new opportunities.
  • Build relationships with consumer financial products such as wallets, neobanks, and trading apps.
  • Develop opportunities with institutional counterparties including market makers, trading firms, and fintech companies.
  • Engage with other DeFi protocols and ecosystem partners as part of the partnership strategy.
  • Present CoW DAO’s products with strong technical understanding and adapt the message for developers as well as non-technical executives.
  • Handle complex enterprise sales motions, including RFPs, multi-party negotiations, and legal review processes.
  • Create sales support assets such as decks, target account lists, and influence maps.
  • Represent partner feedback, market signals, and industry trends internally so they can inform product direction.
  • Participate in conferences, community events, and panels to raise CoW DAO’s visibility in B2B markets.

What you should bring

  • Strong personal alignment with DeFi, plus a solid understanding of market structures and institutional finance.
  • At least 7 years of experience in business development, account management, or partnership management, with 3 or more of those years in crypto or Web3.
  • A highly structured and detail-oriented working style, with the patience to manage and scale long-term ecosystem relationships.
  • Good technical depth and the ability to explain concepts such as intent-based routing, MEV mitigation, and batch auctions to different audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills with the flexibility to speak credibly to both engineering teams and institutional stakeholders.
  • Comfort in multi-stakeholder enterprise processes from initial alignment and integration checks through to final operational reviews.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, open-source, and flat organizational setup.
