This role is part of a talent pool rather than an open requisition. 1inch is gathering a group of highly capable backend engineers with strong TypeScript or Golang experience and practical Web3 exposure who have already completed the interview process and may be invited to join when suitable openings arise. Candidates who are successful will enter a pre-qualified talent network, which allows the hiring team to move quickly once a matching position becomes available.

What you will do

• Develop, expand, and run backend services and APIs that support 1inch products and internal systems.
• Strengthen backend scalability, reliability, maintainability, and the overall developer experience.
• Create and maintain integrations with smart-contract platforms, blockchain data sources, and external services.
• Support monitoring, observability, incident handling, and post-incident review processes.
• Improve backend performance, resilience, and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with product, blockchain, and infrastructure teams to build dependable distributed systems.
• Take part in code reviews, testing practices, and engineering standards throughout the development cycle.
• At senior level, take ownership of services end to end, shape technical direction, and guide other engineers.

What we are looking for

• Hands-on experience building and operating backend systems in production.
• Strong command of Golang, TypeScript, or another backend/systems language, including practical knowledge of concurrency and performance.
• Good grasp of system design basics such as services, data movement, reliability, and maintainability.
• Familiarity with blockchain platforms, smart contracts, transaction flows, and on-chain integrations.
• Experience with containerised services and current deployment approaches.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work well in fast-moving engineering environments.
• Ability to balance code quality, scalability, and operational stability.
• For senior candidates, experience leading projects independently and contributing to architecture decisions.

Preferred experience

• Work across more than one blockchain network or experience with non-EVM ecosystems.
• Exposure to on-chain indexing, observability tools, or protocol debugging tooling.
• Background in building performance-critical systems such as routing engines, risk controls, or high-throughput pipelines.
• Experience in fintech, crypto, or other environments where correctness is especially important.
• Familiarity with distributed systems or low-latency infrastructure design.
