Back End Developer

Role Overview

Klanik is seeking a seasoned Backend Engineer in Abu Dhabi, UAE to build, improve, and support backend platforms that are secure, scalable, and capable of handling high performance demands. The position focuses on API engineering, data storage and modeling, and cloud-enabled application development for innovative digital products.

What You Will Do

• Build and maintain backend services using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask, as well as Node.js.
• Design and implement REST APIs and microservice-based solutions.
• Work on event-driven architectures and asynchronous backend workflows.
• Create and manage database structures across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, TimescaleDB, and Redis.
• Integrate and operate message brokers such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Implement authentication and security mechanisms including JWT and OAuth.
• Improve application scalability, throughput, and overall system performance.
• Connect backend systems with AI/ML services where needed.

Experience and Communication

This opportunity is intended for professionals with 5 to 9+ years of practical backend engineering experience. Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written, are required.
