Key responsibilities
The role centers on safe, accurate accessory installation and careful vehicle handling throughout the shift.
- Work safely at all times and report any safety or quality issues immediately
- Operate manual-transmission vehicles and standard motor vehicles according to company and customer procedures
- Check customer vehicles for any existing damage before starting work
- Verify all parts, accessory codes, and part numbers before installation
- Inspect components before fitting them to the vehicle
- Follow all documented work instructions and procedures
- Complete a post-installation inspection
- Sign quality accountability records for every installation completed
- Take responsibility for hand tools, torque wrenches, and light power tools
- Keep work areas free from waste and debris
Experience and education
- Candidate should be mechanically inclined
- Automotive lift experience is preferred but not mandatory
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent ability
Additional requirements
- Valid state driver’s license must be maintained if company equipment operation requires it
- Applicant must meet and continue to meet the company’s Conditions of Employment policy
Physical and environmental demands
This position requires the ability to work in indoor and outdoor settings in all weather conditions, including high heat, cold, dust, and noise. The job involves frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, walking on uneven surfaces, and standing or walking at a fast pace for the full shift. Work may require covering up to 5 miles in an 8-hour shift and repeatedly opening and closing vehicle doors. Additional physical demands include lifting up to 75 lbs rarely, 50 lbs occasionally, and 25 lbs frequently, as well as pushing and pulling up to 100 lbs. Candidates must be able to hear spoken instructions, read VINs and shipping documents, maintain normal depth perception and visual clarity in limited light, wear all required PPE, and work on a moving assembly line belt.
