Role Overview
Adani Power is looking for an Assistant Manager - Electrical to support day-to-day power plant electrical operations, maintenance reliability, and project execution at the Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh site. The role focuses on keeping electrical assets available, safe, and efficient while working closely with multiple plant teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and coordinate electrical maintenance teams to keep key equipment such as transformers, switchgear, motors, and protection systems operating reliably.
- Plan, prioritize, and carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance so that breakdowns are reduced and equipment life is improved.
- Investigate failures and electrical issues, identify root causes, and resolve faults quickly to avoid interruptions in power supply.
- Work with project teams during the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical systems and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with drawings, specifications, and safety norms.
- Make sure all electrical work follows statutory requirements and applicable standards such as IEC, IS, and related regulations.
- Create and improve standard operating procedures and maintenance practices that strengthen efficiency and workplace safety.
- Handle vendor coordination and assess contractor performance during maintenance work and project activities.
- Prepare technical documentation, maintenance logs, and reports for audits, inspections, and improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with procurement to secure timely supply of spares, tools, and consumables needed for electrical upkeep.
- Support energy-saving and sustainability initiatives by finding ways to lower power consumption and improve system efficiency.
- Coach and develop junior engineers and technicians to build a capable, safety-focused team.
- Take part in emergency response actions for electrical incidents or major breakdowns, making quick and effective decisions.
- Collaborate with mechanical, instrumentation, and operations teams to ensure smooth, integrated plant performance.
- Assist management with budget planning and control of electrical maintenance and project-related costs.
- Encourage a work culture centered on safety, integrity, accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or institute.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh, India. The position is focused on electrical maintenance, reliability, safety compliance, project support, and team leadership in a power generation environment.
