Role overview
This is a permanent full-time position based in Auckland CBD, supporting the Venue & Event Operations function. The role sits mainly with the Visitor Experience teams, while also providing assistance to Venue Operations, Food and Beverage, and other related groups as needed.
Auckland Live and Auckland Conventions, Venues & Events are recognised for delivering leading experiences across performing arts, culture, entertainment, meetings, conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, and awards ceremonies for groups ranging from 10 to more than 3,000 people.
What you will do
- Act as the main administrative support point for employee processes across the full lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, and exits.
- Coordinate training administration, keep records current, refresh the skills matrix, and manage the learning management system.
- Support day-to-day operations administration by helping with office needs, handling lost property, creating purchase orders, and processing invoices.
- Monitor the Admin Event Services mailbox and respond to or action queries promptly.
- Help develop, update, and maintain manuals, systems, policies, and procedures for the Operations department.

The role is best suited to an experienced administrator who can stay organised in a fast-moving environment, balance several priorities, and deliver work on time. Strong accuracy, sound judgement, and a high level of attention to detail are important, along with confidence using Microsoft Office. You should also be comfortable working across different ages and backgrounds and building positive working relationships in a collaborative setting.
